Like, love, hate, sad, ANGRY?

I’ve got something to admit. My intuition is telling me that my social media presence is like marmite - you either love it or you hate it. One thing I can’t put my finger on is what I can possibly be posting that offends people. So for now I’m accepting that ‘you can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time’ . I’ve also heard a lot of people share that they’re leaving social media all together. Particularly Facebook. Perhaps you have?

I’m interested to learn best practise for social media usage. To continue to grow,  I follow people like Mr Linkedin himself, Mark Williams or for other platforms, Alex McCan

Here is my current approach to the different platforms;

FACEBOOK: I have a personal page, which is just that, here I use it like a diary to record special moments I want to remember. I also have my Career Mum page and Group  which I love. It allows me to connect with my ‘tribe’ and take those discussions that might otherwise happen at the coffee machine, online.

TWITTER: I follow lots of people and from here I often get useful reading and viewing material. I also use this platform to share my blogs. I’m well aware though, through attending The google digital garage that my tweets are unlikely to be seen as the twitter viewing time is a matter of seconds. I can be found under @mandnewman.

LINKEDIN: I use this as my professional platform where I share articles and my blogs, hoping to engage people and learn fresh perspectives on my passions some of which are Tech, Diversity & STEAM education. This is me Amanda Newman

I’m very interested to learn from you - you know where to find me!

Thanks for reading.
